What I Teach
I am certified to teach grades K–12, with direct teaching experience across both elementary (K–5) and middle school (6–8) levels. My work has allowed me to support students in a variety of learning environments, including:
-
Co-taught general education classrooms – where I collaborate with colleagues to provide inclusive instruction and ensure students with disabilities have access to the same curriculum as their peers.
-
Self-contained classrooms – where I teach students with more significant disabilities and behavioral needs, designing individualized instruction and interventions to help them thrive.
My teaching practice emphasizes:
-
Building strong foundations in literacy, math, and communication skills.
-
Supporting Students with Disabilities (SWD) in reaching their highest potential through tailored strategies.
-
Creating equitable, supportive, and engaging learning environments that balance academic rigor with compassion.
Through these experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of how to adapt instruction, integrate behavioral supports, and foster growth for students with diverse needs.
